Legion Go price cut in Germany
Lenovo offering their flagship handheld console at a really good price.

The Legion Go and ROG Ally have been battling for the title of the most popular high-end gaming handheld running on Windows. While these devices can’t compete with the Steam Deck in terms of pricing, their faster Ryzen Z1 (Extreme) APUs, higher resolution screens, and easier access to non-Steam games through native Windows installation may sway many gamers, regardless of the Deck’s price.
The Legion Go hit the market in October 2023, four months after the Ally. ASUS’s device has firmly established its position as the go-to high-end Windows handheld, prompting several Chinese brands to either lower their prices or enhance their specifications, often with increased memory or storage options.
To entice gamers to consider the Lenovo Legion Go as their preferred handheld, it had to boast superior specs – and it delivered on many fronts. The system introduced faster LPDDR5X-7500 memory (compared to Ally’s 6400 MT/s), a larger 8.8-inch screen with a 2560×1600 resolution (Ally has 7-inch 1080p screen), a bigger battery, and an important feature: detachable controllers.
The Legion Go is now available at 629 EUR , marking a 170 EUR (21%) reduction from its original launch price in October 2023. This price applies to the Ryzen Z1 Extreme version with 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage, as listed on the X-Kom website for German customers. Interestingly, the same store offers the ROG Ally at 619 EUR.

It’s a good price for the system, which shows that Lenovo is willing to offer their product at a lower price. Moreover, the imminent release of the MSI Claw (expected in April), although possibly not matching the same performance level , is expected to intensify competition in the gaming handheld market. If there is a good time to secure market share, it is probably now.
