Sons of the Forest open-world survival game with FSR3 support at launch
The game leaves early access after a year.
Sons of The Forest, a sequel to the 2014 “The Forest” stands out as an open-world survival horror experience, thrusting players onto a remote island where they grapple with threats like cannibals, unforgiving weather, and the constant struggle against hunger. Instead of dictating tasks, the game empowers gamers who like to decide their own objectives, but giving them an option to play with other players in a cooperative mode as well.
Crafting and building are important aspects in this game, particularly during cold seasons when resources become scarce. Or maybe one should focus on the weaponry and find better loot? It seems like an easy task, but this tactic never works for me, though.
The game’s recommended specs set a reasonable bar, with options like GeForce GTX 1060/Radeon RX 570 for Minimum and GTX 1080 Ti/RX 5700XT for Recommended gameplay. At launch, the game received an important update to support AMD FSR3. This means that everyone can try the newest upscaling technology and if possible, they can also try Frame Generation.
The game has a reasonable price tag of $29. The graphics look nice, and the gameplay is solid. Sons of The Forest has already earned a ‘very positive’ response from the gaming community. Regrettably, there’s no demo available, but the game’s affordability and engaging features make it a compelling choice for survival horror enthusiasts.
