Sabrent 5 SSDs released, one of the fastest on the market
New storage will be offered with up to 4TB capacity.

Sabrent has released the Rocket 5 series, the newest addition to its M.2 NVMe SSD lineup. The series, featuring the M.2-2280 form factor, is available as a bare drive with an optional fan-heatsink accessory offered for improved cooling. The cooling solution includes a small fin stack, dual copper heat pipes, and a 20 mm fan to effectively dissipate heat.
Powering the Rocket 5 SSD is the Phison PS5026-E26 Max14 controller, accompanied by Micron B58R 232-layer 3D NAND flash memory and an LPDDR4-based DRAM cache. The SSD comes in three storage capacities: 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB.
Although specific performance and endurance metrics for each capacity haven’t been disclosed, Sabrent mentions that the drive can achieve sequential read speeds of up to 14 GB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 12 GB/s, thanks to the capabilities of the Max14um controller. Additionally, the drive supports up to 1.55 million IOPS for 4K random reads and up to 1.8 million IOPS for 4K random writes.

Sabrent proudly introduces the Rocket 5 as their fastest SSD ever, succeeding the award-winning Rocket 4 Plus and gaming-inspired Rocket 4 Plus-G. With transfer speeds reaching up to 14 GB/s, the Rocket 5 maximizes PCIe 5.0 bandwidth and features DirectStorage-optimized firmware for optimal performance.
