Tecno Mega Mini Gaming G1 combines Core Ultra, RTX 4060 and water cooling
An eye-catching design was showcased at MWC 2024.
The G1 stands out as a compact water-cooled system powered by an Intel CPU and paired with an NVIDIA GPU. Touted as the world’s smallest water-cooled mini-PC, it certainly lives up to the claim.
However, upon a closer look inside, the system appears surprisingly spacious, featuring a large window that exposes the pump sitting atop the processor. One can’t help but wonder if a more compact design could have been achieved, but it probably wouldn’t look just as good.
This showcased model runs on either an unnamed Core Ultra processor or the Core i9-13900H SKU from the previous series. Equipped with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB storage capacity, the system supports Wi-Fi 6E, Thunderbolt 4, and an Oculink connectivity. So even though it ships with a discrete GPU, gamers may still be able to boost its graphics capabilities.

Driving the graphics is a dedicated GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, presumably a “Laptop GPU” variant. The company remains tight-lipped about the GPU’s specs, which are not even mentioned in the press release. However, MWC attendees were given a basic spec sheet detailing the graphics configuration.

The Mega Mini system is also equipped with a small screen that shows the basic stats like CPU and GPU usage and temperatures, as well as RAM utilization. This screen appears to be monochromatic.

At MWC Tecno had already showcased their AMD Ryzen 8000 powered gaming handheld which does not actually have a screen but is designed to support augmented reality glasses. In a heavily saturated handheld market with numerous AMD and Intel based systems, such a concept certainly brings something new to the table.
The concept of water-cooled Mini PCs is not new though, but this is certainly the first of this size and the first Mini PC said to feature Intel Core Ultra processor.
