Leaker confirms Intel Arrow Lake has no hyper threading, no DDR4 support and comes with 4 Xe-Cores

Intel Arrow Lake set to launch by the end of this year, will be Intel’s first top-to-bottom series for desktop, laptops and mobile devices featuring AI-acceleration cores. The move to Arrow Lake for desktop computers also means moving to a new computer platform with a socket called LGA-1851. Chinese leaker Golden Pig Upgrade, who has a good record of leaks from Intel, confirmed that there is no DDR4 memory support.
The post on Bilibili serves as a reminder on Arrow Lake specs, which are more or less set in stone at this point. It is also a response to some of the recent rumors that for some reason suggested Intel is working on 15th Gen Core series, which is not true. Instead, the next-gen client CPU series will likely adopt Core Ultra 200 series naming, or how Intel calls it Second Generation Core Ultra.
The leaker reaffirms that there is no hyper threading support in the Arrow Lake chips, as well that the new CPUs will not have LP (low-power) E(fficient)-Core as found in Meteor Lake chips. There will be a NPU core (Neural Processing Unit) which should offer similar performance to Meteor Lake NPU.

Golden Pig Upgrade Arrow Lake claims (translated)
- It’s puzzling why there are so many wildly inaccurate leaks about a CPU set to launch in just over half a year…
- Firstly, Arrow Lake is highly unlikely to be named the 15th generation Core i, more probably, it will be the Core i Ultra processor (Series 2).
- No hyper-threading, no LP E-core, but the NPU remains, with computing power similar to the laptop Meteor Lake.
- 4 Xe core integrated graphics, labeled Intel Graphics in the Task Manager, not Arc Graphics, as there are less than 7 cores, in line with Ultra5 125U.
- No DDR4 support.
- For the mobile segment, advanced process Tiles all come from TSMC. The 20A is likely to appear only in the 6+8 core configuration of ARL-S, specifically in non-K U5 and lower desktop models.
- Desktop S and HX still cannot adopt a PCH-free solution like the AMD platform.
In terms of graphics, Golden Pig claims that Arrow Lake will feature up to 4 Xe-Cores, which means it will not display as Arc Graphics. For Intel, any integrated GPU that has less than 7 cores is not considered part of Arc graphics, but rather will show as Intel Graphics. Worth adding that in the case of Arrow Lake-S (desktop) the graphics should be based on Xe-LPG architecture while the mobile variant is said to feature Xe-LPG+.
The leaker also mentioned that the Intel 20A process node will exclusively be used for 6P+8E core configuration for the Arrow Lake desktop. One should expect to see such chips within the upcoming Core Ultra 5 non-K series.

Lastly, it is said that there is still a requirement for PCH (chipset) for both mobile high-power HX and desktop variants. The leaker further stated that within the next six months, Intel will be only a release of Arrow Lake-S.
