Gigabyte joins MSI and ASUS by extending warranty on QD-OLED monitors
Following CES, ASUS has revealed an extension of its QD-OLED monitor warranty to two years, including burn-in protection. Following this, MSI declared an upgrade to a three-year warranty, also providing protection against the OLED burn-in effect. It forced ASUS to adjust its warranty period accordingly in response to MSI’s announcement, aligning it with the three-year coverage.
The company that did not have a 3-year warranty for its OLED monitors is Gigabyte. The company has now decided to join arms with other OLED monitor makers and offer a similar warranty period.
Gigabyte has announced that its entire QD-OLED monitor lineup will feature a 3-year warranty. The company is not directly mentioning burn-in protection, but the warrant it said to offer ‘protection against potential panel image retention issues’ which can be interpreted as such.

Gigabyte is the only company who announced a QD-OLED panel with full UHBR20 DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity. Effectively, this means that their FO32UP2 monitor is the only 4K 240Hz panel that can output such image without Display Stream Compression (DSC). Worth adding that there is also a F032UP (without 2) that supports DisplayPort 1.4.
The company is clearly ticking all the boxes for the best QD-OLED monitor on the market. Now with the same protection as MSI and ASUS, the only information left is the pricing.
