“NvStrapsReBar” enables ReBAR on NVIDIA Turing
Modders were able to utilize the ReBarUEFI tool to expand ResizableBAR support to older generation of GeForce GPUs.

AMD popularized the idea of enabling PCIe feature called ReBAR (ResizableBAR) on consumer GPUs through the introduction of Smart Access Memory technology. NVIDIA was quick to adopt their graphics cards to support this technology (by offering a patch for GeForce RTX 30 series), and motherboard makers followed suit by enabling this feature on more motherboards. The tool called ReBarUEFI can patch the UEFI firmware and enable support for this feature on even broader spectrum of motherboards. However, there is still an issue of enabling ReBAR on older GPUs themselves.
Modders have now come up with a new solution for GeForce GTX 16 and RTX 20 series based on Turing architecture. The proposed solution does not work with GeForce GTX 10 series based on “Pascal”, though. Those who are still using Turing GPUs are in luck, as the new solution seems pretty straightforward and simple to use.

By enabling ReBAR allows the GPU to negotiate the size of the BAR (Base Address Register) with the motherboard. This tool can enable auto-setting, or it can be confirmed manually. Nonetheless, one must point out that this mod involves patching the UEFI firmware on the motherboard, so make sure that you know the risks involved.
Moreover, check reviews comparing ReBAR enabled and ReBAR disabled GPUs, to understand whether it’s worth the hassle. NVIDIA is not expected to provide a solution to enable ReBAR on GTX 10/16/RTX 20 cards, so this may be the only solution available. All modern GPUs come with ReBAR enabled, and some cards even require ReBAR platform support (like Intel ARC).
