AMD Ryzen 9 5900, Ryzen 7 5800 CPUs, 5700G and 5600G APUs allegedly in the works

Please note that this post is tagged as a rumor .

AMD is planning another four SKUs for its Ryzen 5000 series.

AMD Ryzen 5900, 5800, 5700G, and 5600G

The manufacturer is allegedly preparing two processors based on Vermeer silicon and two based on Cezanne. The new SKUs would still be part of the Ryzen 5000 series although they are all designed for two different markets.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900 and Ryzen 7 5800 desktop processors are both marketed for OEM partners, which means that those SKUs may never be sold directly to consumers unless with the whole system. According to the leak from a known leaker momomo , the Ryzen 9 5900 would be a 12-core CPU with a TDP of 65W, which is noticeably lower than 5900X’s 105W. The octa-core Ryzen 7 5800 non-X is also planned with a TDP of 65W, according to the leak.

The listing of the new CPUs had apparently already appeared online, possibly on the motherboard manufacturer’s website, although no links were provided by the leaker:

On the same day, Patrick Schur revealed that AMD is also planning Cezanne-based APUs. Those would be the Cezanne-G series with a TDP of 65W. New Zen3-based APUs would replace the Ryzen 4000G series based on Zen3 ‘Renoir’ silicon. To this day, however, they have not been officially offered to consumers, but instead, they were restricted to OEM consumers. Consumers still had a better chance of finding Ryzen 4000G PRO CPUs instead, which are available at retailers.

AMD is set to unveil its first Zen3 based APUs codenamed Cezanne at CES 2021, however, those will be mobile APUs for upcoming low-power and high-end gaming laptops.
