ROG Gaming NUC from ASUS costs €2500 in top configuration
The ROG NUC is the first gaming NUC after ASUS took over the product line from Intel.

As a reminder, Intel has given the rights to the existing and future NUC (Next Unit of Compute) series to ASUS. The Taiwanese company is now responsible to continuing supporting existing NUCs as well. However, the ROG (Republic of Gamers) design has never been used for NUC product line before. It’s a debut, and it’s an expensive debut.
The ROG NUC will come with up to Core Ultra 9 185H processor, which offers up to 16 cores and 22 threads. This processor, belonging to the high-end Meteor Lake-H series, achieves a boost clock of up to 5.1 GHz. The 185H is actually the only SKU in the lineup with default TDP of 45W.
The CPU comes equipped with Arc Xe-LPG graphics, which in this case feature full 8 Xe-Core configuration. However, the ROG NUC is not relying on these graphics. In fact, it comes with a discrete GPU based on NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture. The ROG NUC has RTX 4070 Laptop GPU locked to 115W TGP and optional Dynamic Boost up to 140W.
ASUS has confirmed that the Core Ultra CPU can also be used at 65W TDP mode. In other words, ASUS has no plans to power lock these components.

The new system is currently available for purchase in Germany at a price of €2,500 . This price corresponds to the configuration featuring the Core Ultra 9 185H processor, RTX 4070 GPU, 32GB of DDR5-5600 memory, and 1TB of storage. These specifications undoubtedly represent high-end laptop specs, and given that this is the first ROG NUC release, ASUS definitely wasn’t expected to make this any cheaper.
