Affordable motherboard for better cable management
Colorful launches mid-range board designed to simply system installation.

The iGame Ultra Z motherboard is part of the Colorful’s effort into a new market segment of PC hardware components that do not have exposed power connectors. The company has already released a graphics card series that has a hidden power connector. This is similar but not identical to the approach to ASUS Advanced BTF program, which also eliminates the GPU power connector on the GPUs.
Colorful’s idea for a motherboard only takes all the power and fan connectors to the backside, but still leaves some headers exposed such as CMOS clear, USB or RGB headers.

The iGame Ultra Z board is based on Intel B760 chipset for Intel LGA-1700 processors. It should easily handle most of the current high-end Core i9 and i9 models thanks to 12+1+1 power stage design.
It is designed in a Micro-ATX form factor and offers four DDR5 memory slots that support up to 7200 MT/s speed when overclocked. One will find three M.2 2280 SSD slots for PCIe Gen4x4 connection, one PCIe 5×16 slot, and one PCIe 3×4 slot for added peripherals.

The Colorful board is already on sale for 1199 RMB, which is around $167 when directly converted. That’s a good price considering that the backside connector designs are typically on the more expensive side. One should note, however, that such motherboards require specially designed chassis that support this type of connection.
