ASUS introduces two ROG monitors for gamers
Not even that expensive.
ASUS is bringing two ROG monitors to the market, both 27 inch in size, but featuring different resolutions and refresh rates. The update includes two ROG Strix monitors called the XG27UCS and XG27ACS. Both monitors are designed to be clutter-free and offer an interesting design choice, allowing gamers to use the stand as a holder for a smartphone. Additionally, both monitors are equipped with USB Type-C connectors, which can be used for charging.

The XG27UCS boasts 4K resolution and 160 Hz refresh rate, while the XG27ACS delivers 1440p gameplay at 180 Hz. Both monitors have 1 ms response time for lag-free action on these monitors. The new ROG Strix monitors will be available in black color as well as white (XG27ACS-W).

ASUS is confirming that both monitors support NVIDIA G-SYNC for tear-free gaming experiences. Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB Sync) is also supported. The panels are compatible with HDR technology meeting DisplayHDR 400 certification standards. Sadly, it’s not HDR 600, but remember this is a budget segment. ASUS is also confirming a wide (95-97%) DCI-P3 gamut support for both panels.
Apparently there is some AI algorithm involved here, with GamePlus technology analyzing the scenes in real-time and adjusting the crosshair for improved accuracy. ASUS is also claiming that built-in Dynamic Shadow Boost technology will brighten dark areas without overexposing bright areas to give gamers an advantage in low-light scenes.

Connectivity options include DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, and USB Type-C with DP Alt mode and Power Delivery. The XG27ACS is currently available with a starting price of US$269 , while the XG27UCS will be released soon at US$449 .
