Marvel Rivals announced: new F2P Hero Shooter

Marvel’s gearing up for some serious action with its latest gaming venture. This 6 v 6 hero shooter is a fusion of beloved Marvel action games like Ultimate Alliance and the strategic multiplayer aspects of titles like Overwatch and Valorant.

In Marvel Rivals, players will have the chance to assemble their dream team from a diverse lineup of characters spanning the entire Marvel multiverse. With an initial roster of 16 characters, including fan favorites like Black Panther, Storm, and Magneto, there’s no shortage of options. Moreover, NetEase has promised regular updates introducing new heroes with each season.

Set to launch on PC as a free-to-play title , Marvel Rivals boasts destructible environments that add a dynamic layer to gameplay. Watching Loki morph into Black Panther to unleash chaos or witnessing Rocket Raccoon hitch a ride on Groot for some serious tag-team action is just the beginning. The game introduces a new twist with team-up skills, allowing players to combine the powers of two heroes for powerful attacks.

Personally, not a fan of hero shooters, but these games are very popular, especially due to their free-to-play nature and how GPU vendors often provide quick updates with their latest technologies. We will definitely hear about this game again.
