AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX drops to $889

PowerColor lowers the price for its high-end Radeon GPU

Shortly after reaching $900 mark, the Hellhound GPU is now even cheaper.

We’re seeing some noteworthy shifts in the graphics card market lately, especially with the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and XT models. Prices have been gradually dropping, which is great news for consumers. While there have been occasional instances of the RX 7900 XTX being available at lower prices, these opportunities tend to be short-lived flash sales that we often do not get a chance to cover.

Newegg has recently introduced a significant price reduction for the AMD flagship RX 7900 XTX model, bringing it down from $949 to $889. This marks the first time that Newegg has offered the XTX model at this price point.

The specific card on offer is the Hellhound by PowerColor. While it sits in the middle tier of product offerings, falling between the high-end Red and Liquid Devil series, it still outperforms AMD’s reference design, which is also available from PowerColor.

Worth noting, it’s not just the Hellhound by PowerColor that’s dropping below the $900 mark. The ASRock Phantom Gaming variant is now retailing at $900 without the need for any coupon codes. Additionally, both XFX and Sapphire models are edging closer to the $900 threshold, albeit with a $20 difference compared to the most affordable option.

The XTX model is now following its XT sibling, which is now easily available at $699, which received an official discount to $729 recently. AMD hasn’t announced a price change for the 7900 XTX, but board partners aren’t waiting for official discounts.
