As confirmed, Gigabyte’s unveiling of the RTX 4080 SUPER XTREME ICE wasn’t a prank for April Fool’s Day. They are indeed introducing new hardware aimed at enthusiasts, all following a unified design concept. A standout feature across this hardware lineup is the predominantly white aesthetic with gold accents, targeting well-off gamers.

Among the newly revealed products is the Z790 chipset-based motherboard from Intel. Following the XTREME X ICE design ethos, the board features white, silver and gold accents. In fact, even the LGA1700 socket is gold platted. The CPU and memory modules are shielded by a translucent block, resembling a monoblock for water cooling, though it appears to be a removable plastic cover.

The motherboard sports a single PCIe Gen5 x16 slot and a sizable heatsink for the AORUS NVMe SSD. It’s worth noting that all connectors are angled, potentially streamlining or complicating cable management depending on the case used.

Another notable feature is the inclusion of a screen on the VRM cover, reminiscent of the original Z790 AORUS XTREME.

However, it’s important to mention that the supply of these parts will be extremely limited. According to a statement from Gigabyte’s Vietnam Sales Manager, only 300 bundles comprising the motherboard, graphics card, and CPU cooler will be produced.
