Furmark 2.2 has been released: adds hotspot temperature monitoring for NVIDIA GPUs

Furmark 2.2: Moore Threads S80 support, hotspot temperature for NVIDIA GPUs and OpenGL updates

Geeks3D, the developers of Furmark, have announced that a new version of the software is now ready to “terrorize” your graphics card. As worrying as it may sound, FurMark still serves its purpose and remains a useful tool for those tinkering with GPU specs and cooling.

Earlier this year, an important release of FurMark took place. The software reached version 2.0 after more than a year of development. This version brought several new features as well as a completely revamped user interface. The tool has already undergone some fixes and optimizations since its launch, and it now comes with improved Linux support and fixes for Vulkan rendering. More importantly, there is support for OpenGL 2.1, 3.0, and 3.1, which expands the tool’s purpose for older systems that do not support modern APIs.

In terms of GPU support, there is Moore Threads MTT S80 monitoring, which means that FurMark now supports AMD, Intel, NVIDIA, and MTT GPUs, among others. Moreover, NVIDIA users will now be able to see hotspot temperature on the graph, which is an extremely important metric for temperature measurements.

What’s also worth reminding is that Furmark is not just one test, but a suite of tools like CPU Burner, GPU-Shark or GPU-Z, all of which are included in the installation. You can now download the tool by following the link below.
