Predator and Nitro Radeon GPUs with Navi 32 GPU now available
Acer has finally launched its high-end Radeon GPUs.

One might say that Acer has finally launched its Radeon GPUs. This wouldn’t be a completely accurate statement because Acer actually did launch the Radeon RX 7600 non-XT a while back. It was the only Radeon GPU from Acer available through the DIY market. As months have passed, Acer fans might have started to wonder if that’s the final word for this company in the competitive GPU market. Thankfully, it wasn’t.
At the beginning of this year, Acer made several announcements regarding their new Radeon GPU lineup. Not only did the company launch Navi 32-based Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT (a bit later than most companies), but there was also an update for Radeon RX 7900 GRE and RX 7600 XT. These SKUs were launched in January on the global market.
Thankfully, this time one didn’t have to wait a long time for these cards to appear in the retail channel. Newegg is now listing all of these cards for sale (with some still not in stock).

The RX 7900 GRE and 7800 XT models are currently being sold slightly above the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP), which isn’t ideal for a new player in the GPU market. However, Acer has shown a strong willingness to offer price reductions for its Intel Arc models. It’s highly probable that lower prices will become available soon.
The Predator Bifrost models are particularly interesting cards since they adopt a 3-slot thick design with large triple-fan coolers. Such a design would easily pass for the high-end 7900 XT/XTX model, but it is currently offered for the 7900 GRE and RX 7800 XT series, which are ~260W GPUs. These cards should have great cooling unless there is some issue with the cooler. Unfortunately, despite most of the cards already being available, there are no reviews to be found. Acer is clearly less eager to provide samples of Radeon GPUs than they were with Arc.
