Chinese PC makers now selling Ryzen 8700F/8400F systems
Some of these systems cost only 2499 RMB ($345), which is the MSRP of 8700G, but there is one important component missing.

AMD recently rolled out its Ryzen 8000F series, built on the Hawk Point silicon. Unlike the already launched 8000G models, these processors lack integrated graphics support, which mandates the use of a discrete GPU to work. Surprisingly, some Chinese system integrators are marketing these systems without the GPU, providing an opportunity for users to purchase them separately.
This move allows gamers to obtain nearly complete systems at prices equivalent to that of the Ryzen 7 8700G APU alone, which comes with integrated GPU capabilities. These PC makers clearly state that their systems require a separate GPU to work. For users already owning a GPU or aiming to upgrade to the latest Zen4 architecture with DDR5 support at low cost, this presents an interesting option at a lower price point.
The entry-level systems featuring the 8700F processor typically include an AMD B650M motherboard, 16GB of DDR5-600 memory, and 512GB of storage. Potential buyers should carefully inspect the motherboard specifications and, perhaps more crucially, verify the wattage of the power supply unit (PSU) — as at least one of these systems ships with a modest 400W PSU.
To give you some understanding on pricing, these are the settings offered with the cheapest 8700F systems:

The Ryzen 7 8700F is an 8-core Zen4 processor with specifications closely resembling those of the 8700G. While the CPU runs 100 MHz slower and lacks integrated GPU support, it appears to be considerably more cost-effective compared to the 8700G. This is shown in a screenshot below from the official AMD store on JD, where the Ryzen 7 8700G is priced at 2499 RMB.

Gamers who want a discrete GPU already installed, there are options including RX 6650 XT at 4049 RMB, RX 6750 GRE 10GB at 4299 and even RX 7700 XT selling at 5299-5999 RMB and RTX 40 models.
