Hardware leaker YuuKi_AnS shares first images of Intel’s next-gen platform for Xeon CPUs series.

Intel Beechnut City is currently serving as a validation platform for the upcoming next-gen Intel Xeon CPUs. These processors, recently announced to be renamed as the Xeon 6 series, will encompass both the Granite Rapids (P-Core architecture) and Sierra Forest (E-Core architecture).

YuuKi_AnS has unveiled the new platform in a vibrant red color, offering a close look at its features. It’s worth noting that this isn’t a product for the market, but rather a platform designed for validation and further testing. Additionally, the dual-socket LGA-7529 platform has the potential to support up to 288 cores per socket with the Sierra Forest architecture.

YuuKi also mentions possible SKU names for the Xeon 6 series, including Xeon 6 6900E/P (Platinum), Xeon 6 6700E/P (Gold), Xeon 6 6500P (Silver) and Xeon 6 6300P (Bronze). The specifications for these variants are currently unknown.

A closer look at the platform tells us that there are eight DDR5 memory slots on each side of the sockets. This means there are in total 32 slots (16 channel per CPU). Earlier information confirmed that Intel is aiming at supporting DDR5-6400 modules through this platform for 1 DIMMs Per channel and 5200 MT/s speeds for 2 DIMMs per Channel. A validation platform featuring 12-channel memory support has also been pictured before, that platform is called Avenue City , and it supports up to 24 DDR5-6400 memory.

Intel confirmed that Sierra Forest with 144 cores is targeting the first half of this year, while the 288 core variant should launch in the second half. These will be Intel’s first CPU series featuring only Efficient cores, similar to what AMD is doing with their Zen Dense cores (such as Bergamo).
