Three fans and low-profile design based on RTX 4060

GALAX has launched a new model based on NVIDIA’s slowest SKU.

It appears to be a new trend emerging: a low-profile design equipped with three fans. This unique style was initially introduced by Gigabyte, who were the first brand to showcase such a graphics card. ASUS followed suit by unveiling their BRK (Low Profile) design, based on the same NVIDIA SKU. However, these companies aren’t the only ones interested in this concept.

GALAX has announced, through its Japanese distributor Kuroutoshikou, that they are launching the RTX 4060 GALAKURO. Similar to ASUS and Gigabyte, their card features a dual-slot, low-profile design equipped with three fans. The unique feature is that this card comes in an all-white design, including the PCB, an unusual sight on an entry-level model.

The new model measures 18.2 × 6.9 × 4.0 cm and is equipped with a single 8-pin power connector located at the rear. Furthermore, the card ships with two I/O brackets, either full height or half, depending on how the GPU will be used. It’s worth noting that the card is equipped with four display connectors, which include two DP 1.4a and two HDMI 2.1a.

Galax decided to add a bit of overclocking to this model, cranking the boost clock up to 2475 MHz, just a little bit above NVIDIA’s reference specs by 15 MHz. The RTX 4060 isn’t trying to be a gaming beast, and it’s clear about that. It rocks the AD107 GPU with 3072 CUDA cores, 8GB of GDDR6 memory, and a 128-bit memory bus.

As mentioned, this is not the first low-profile card with three fans. This idea was already explored by ASUS and Gigabyte, whose cards certainly look very similar. However, for those who truly need a white card for whatever project they are working on, such an option now exists. Unfortunately, Galax International has not yet listed this model for sale; for now, it is exclusive to the Japanese market. However, since Kurotoshikou typically offers most of the GALAX designs (under its Galakuro brand), such a model will certainly launch through Galax globally at some point.
