Gigabyte confirms GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 20GB and RTX 3060 12GB through EEC

Gigabyte confirms GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, RTX 3060 12GB

A new entry to Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) regulatory office revealed that Gigabyte is preparing a large list of next-gen graphics cards based on yet unannounced NVIDIA SKUs. The manufacturer confirmed it will launch a full lineup of GeForce RTX 3080 Ti models, including AORUS Xtreme, AORUS Master, Vision, Gaming, Eagle, and Turbo. It appears to be a full lineup refresh of the RTX 3080 non-Ti models.

A few RTX 3060 non-Ti models have also been added to the list, although there appear to be much fewer cards on the list compared to 3080 Ti. For now, the company will release the Gaming, Eagle, and Vision series available with factory-overclocking and without. It would actually be surprising if Gigabyte offered more options, such as AORUS cards, since this model is expected to be a mid-range card, despite carrying more memory capacity than the 3060 Ti model.

GeForce RTX 3080 Ti

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is a new high-end model that will fill the gap between GA102-200 and GA102-300 based models. This card is expected to feature just as many cores as the RTX 3090 and twice the memory capacity of the RTX 3080. With 20GB GDDR6X VRAM, the card should serve as a good alternative to Radeon RX 6900 XT (which is impossible to buy anyway), which ships with the full-fat Navi 21 GPU and 5120 Stream Processors and 16GB memory.

The RTX 3080 Ti with its doubled CUDA count per Streaming Multiprocessor is expected to feature 10496 CUDA cores. According to rumors, this new SKU might cost as much as 999 USD for the Founders Edition, and probably a lot more for custom variants, such as Gigabyte’s. The launch date has not yet been confirmed, but the card was originally planned for January (hence Gigabyte and other AIB brands have started leaking information on the new SKU), however, the 3080 Ti might be delayed till after the Chinese New Year.
