The AM5-based motherboard from Sapphire, limited to the Asian market
Sapphire is releasing a new motherboard based on the AMD AM5 socket.

While international consumers may primarily associate Sapphire with gaming and the sale of Radeon GPUs, the company offers a broader range of products for data centers and embedded platforms, some of which are also available globally. Sapphire also sells motherboards, cases and coolers for consumers, however these parts are not available outside Asia.
The company introduced its NITRO+ B550I motherboard in 2021, an AM4-based Mini-ITX design. Now, almost three years later, Sapphire is launching its B650I model equipped with the AM5 socket for Ryzen 7000, 8000 and upcoming 9000 series. This board features an 8-layer PCB with an 8-power stage design, utilizing 70A Dr. MOS and supporting DDR5-6000 memory through EXPO profiles.

Being a Mini-ITX board, it offers only one PCIe x16 slot, but it is worth noting it is a Gen4 standard rather than Gen5. The same applies to two M.2 slots, which are Gen4 standards according to official advertising.
In terms of connectivity and features, the board includes USB Type-C 20 Gbps and USB Type-A 10 Gbps connectors, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, as well as two RGB headers for 5V and 12V systems.

Part of the NITRO+ series, the B650I motherboard aligns with Sapphire’s graphics cards, providing gamers with the opportunity to create a streamlined system with matching components. In Asia, gamers also have access to Sapphire NITRO+ cases and CPU coolers, none of which are available outside the Asian continent. To our knowledge, these are the only official cases and coolers from Sapphire’s NITRO series.
