Legion Go now at $631, gets a $68 price cut
Lenovo lowers the price for its first handheld.

The Lenovo Legion Go, a premium handheld device with an 8.8-inch design, is now available at a discounted price of $631 on the Amazon store. At this price, the console is actually even cheaper than on Lenovo’s own official US store, where the same model is listed at $649. This price slash to $631 on the Lenovo Legion Go is the biggest one yet since it hit the shelves five months ago at $699.

Featuring an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, the Legion Go boasts an 8-core Zen4 APU with built-in Radeon 780M RDNA3 graphics. This chipset, specifically designed for low-power gaming on handhelds, offers a newer and more powerful architecture compared to Valve’s Steam Deck, which utilizes RDNA2 graphics.
Because of this, Lenovo and ASUS, who both use similar APUs, were able to include screens with higher resolutions and refresh rates. The 8.8-inch screen on Lenovo actually makes it one of the largest handhelds on the market, but at least in this case users can remove game pads like on Nintendo Switch.

While ASUS offers variants of their ROG Ally with both Ryzen Z1 Extreme and non-Extreme processors, Lenovo has opted to release the Legion Go exclusively with the Z1 Extreme processor. Available in both 1TB and 512GB storage options, the latter was initially priced at $699 according to Lenovo’s listings, and the former typically costs $749. The 512GB model is currently available at the discounted prices of $649 and $631.

As shown on the graph, the Lenovo Legion Go frequently drops to $649 every few weeks, but this latest price of $631 is the steepest discount yet. Naturally, this puts pressure on competitors like the MSI Claw, which is priced similarly (at least on paper). Already, we’ve observed some price adjustments on the Claw , with discounts reaching up to 25% for this Intel Core Ultra-powered console. However, what the Claw really needs is an official price reduction across all markets to stay competitive.
