Intel Arc A770 & A750 ROC Edition

Sparkle has released a new series of Intel ARC GPUs.

Introducing the Sparkle ROC Edition (not to be confused with ROG) graphics series. Sparkle has undoubtedly been one of the major partners for the Intel Arc GPU launch, even though it wasn’t the first. Currently, the company offers as many as 11 graphics cards based on the Alchemist series, and this lineup has just expanded with another four models.

The Sparkle ROC series features dual-fan models available in two color options: black and white. Sparkle is doing some trickery with the official images that may suggest the white model actually comes with a darker PCB, but make no mistake, it’s still the same blue PCB as featured on all Sparkle ARC graphics cards.

The company has launched four models: two Arc A770 and two Arc A750, available in black and white designs, with the latter dubbed “Luna,” borrowing its name from the moon. It’s important to note that all ROC cards are overclocked, which shouldn’t come as a surprise. We’re looking at a 2300 MHz GPU clock on the A770 and a 17.5 Gb/s memory speed, as these are 16GB models. The A750 cards are featuring 2200 MHz clock.

Sparkle claims that their cards support three DisplayPort 2.0 connectors and one HDMI 2.0. Given recent discussions about DisplayPort 2 monitors, it’s worth noting that Arc GPUs support UHBR10 mode, not UHBR13.5 like the Radeon RX 7000 series. Since there are now monitors with support for higher transmission rates, that’s something worth paying attention to.

Moving on to the physical design, all the cards share the same look with two 100 mm fans. We’re looking at a 28.1 cm long and 13.1 cm wide GPU that requires 2.5 slots. Each model is powered by a pair of 8-pin power connectors (in blue, of course) and will require at least a 650W power supply, according to the company.
