Apple iPhone sales drop 10.5% as China headwinds persist

PALO ALTO, California -- Apple reported lackluster quarterly results Thursday due to declining iPhone sales in Asia, especially in key regions like China, amid stiff competition from Huawei and weakened demand in the world's second-largest economy.

Apple's revenue declined 4.3% on the year to $90.75 billion for the three months ended March 30. iPhone sales dropped 10.5% to $46 billion.
