Nintendo Switch 2 within this fiscal year
The President of Nintendo confirms the new Switch will be announced this (fiscal) year.

Finally, the company has confirmed that the Switch will get a successor. This comes years after rumors about potential updates to the Switch and Switch OLED handheld systems that were released years ago. The President of Nintendo has confirmed that the company will make a formal announcement of the new system within this fiscal year, but no date was mentioned for the product release.
Furthermore, Nintendo adds that there will be a Direct show in June; however, no hardware updates will be provided at that time.

According to the rumors, the Switch 2 is expected no sooner than March 2025. These rumors claim that the device would boast a larger screen and higher resolution. There would also be an update to the console’s processor.
Earlier reports claimed that the Nintendo Switch 2 has been pushed to the first quarter of 2025. Such systems typically aim for holiday seasons, so the Switch will be missing one of the most important parts of the year. However, Nintendo is building up a stock of the console for launch and giving first-party game developers time to prepare for this launch.
The Switch 2 is said to employ an NVIDIA Tegra T239 processor equipped with 6x more CUDA cores than the current NVIDIA X1 SoC. This SoC is already capable of running AAA titles such as The Witcher 3, Doom, or No Man’s Sky. However, the new SoC would enable DLSS support, which would improve performance beyond what the core increase can guarantee.
