AYANEO to launch its first external GPU solution
Gamers will be able to boost graphics performance.

AYANEO already has many products, most of which target gaming communities with powerful handheld systems and Mini-PCs. Some of these devices already feature modern connectivity standards such as USB4 or even OCuLink. The latter allows gamers to fully utilize the PCIe interface at 64GB/s, enabling higher graphics performance for external desktop GPU connections, visibly faster than Thunderbolt 3 or 4.
It turns out AYANEO is working on their GPU dock, named AG01 “Graphics Starship”, because it is set to resemble a starship from old sci-fi movies. This continues AYANEO’s efforts into ‘retro’ hardware, first set by the new Apple Macintosh-inspired Mini-PC .
The company is not revealing any details on the new dock. In fact, we can hardly see how it looks, but being multi-functional, one can assume it will have several features, such as USB4 and OCuLink connections, as well as storage and expanded USB and display ports. Such features can already be found on external GPUs such as OneXGPU.

Although it may look like a GPU enclosure/dock, upon closer inspection, one can’t see any PCIe x16 interface. This suggests that the ‘dock’ in this case means an external GPU, such as the popular Radeon RX 7600M XT in OneXGPU or GPD G1. Both devices are from AYANEO’s strong competitors, and both have already showcased their external GPU solutions. AYANEO has many more products, and thus far, gamers using their devices have had to rely on such solutions, but maybe not for long.
The official showcase of AG01 will be on May 18th.
