Dell XPS 13 Plus and Inspiron 14 Plus laptops with Snapdragon X CPUs leaked ahead of launch

Dell is about to announce two laptops based on Qualcomm Snapdragon X Series.

The company will is set to make an announcement regarding Qualcomm’s grand push into the Windows laptop market. The 16-core Snapdragon X Elite and 10-core X Plus series are powered by ARM architecture, and they are presented as capable competition to the established Intel and AMD monopoly in the market.

According to the leak from Windows Report, Dell will launch a 14-inch and 13-inch laptops powered by said Snapdragon X series. Renders of both systems were leaked ahead of the announcement. What’s worth noting is that neither Dell nor Qualcomm have confirmed the exact launch date for these processors and laptops, only ASUS has an event planned for May 20th . Perhaps we will hear about X-Elite/Plus laptops from other companies at the same time.

Dell is preparing the Inspiron 14 7441 Plus laptop, which is said to feature the 16-core X Elite processor. This laptop is reported to come with 16GB of system memory and was seen using the latest Windows 11 24H2 Preview build in leaks. This suggests it will debut with Windows’ latest features, such as the AI Explorer.

Windows Report notes that the design of the Inspiron Plus appears sleeker and slimmer than before. The laptop features rounded edges and comes equipped with two USB Type-C and one Type-A connectors, along with an SD card slot.

The XPS 13 9345 is said to be based on a similar chassis as the XPS 13 9340, powered by Intel Core Ultra 100 series. While the report does not explicitly confirm if this laptop is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X series, we can confirm that this laptop does indeed use Qualcomm (planned 16C and 10C verions). This laptop will be offered with up to a 2.8K OLED touchscreen and will support WiFi7.

Both laptops notably feature a new Copilot button. According to the report, Dell’s new lineup of XPS and Inspiron laptops is expected to hit the market this summer.
