AOOSTAR launches Mini-PC with desktop Radeon RX 6600 LE GPU

First Mini-PC gets Radeon RX 6600 LE

AMD NAVI2 still around.

AMD has not made any formal announcement of the RX 6600 LE graphics card, but this model is clearly gaining popularity through Chinese board partners and now seemingly through Mini-PC makers.

The Radeon RX 6600 LE is a younger sibling of the RX 6600. As we explained in previous reports , this card is essentially the same as the non-LE version, with the only official difference being the boost clock speed of 2495 MHz as opposed to 2490 MHz. Now, it appears that the model is not just designed for desktop use, as the Chinese company Aoostar has adopted this card for its new Mini-PC.

The new PC is equipped with Ryzen 9 6900HX processor (8 core Zen3+) and it is clearly targeting gamers. It uses a custom cooler design, DDR5-4800 memory support, PCIe Gen4 support and dual 2.5 GbE networking.

Using the all-new AMD Radeon RX 6600LE 8G independent graphics card, large memory without data transmission bottleneck, and the frequency is even stronger than the 6600m by more than a bit. The graphics card we use is a new model released earlier this year, eliminating the re-employment of miners!

The GPU is reportedly locked to 100W TGP, which is about 32W less than the desktop version. The card is offered with the same specs though, which means Navi 23 XL GPU with 1792 cores, 8GB GDDR6 memory across 128-bit bus (most likely 14 Gbps) and PCIe Gen4x8 interface.

Similar devices like the Minisforum HX70/90G series were equipped with RX 6600M graphics, which came with the same core specs, but the clock speed was much lower (2177 MHz).

The Mini-PC is now listed at 3399 RMB but will be offered at 3299 RMB (~456 USD) during the presale. That’s of course the price for the barebone system without storage and memory.
