The M2A Starship Gaming PC has been released
A new gaming product has been released by ACEMAGIC, a Chinese company known for various small form factor PC designs.
The M2A Starship may like a router, but it is actually a Mini-PC. It uses a unique and new design concept, not seen on a device like this before. It does indeed look like a four-wing starship, where the company hid extra fans to improve the cooling design. Whether that’s a good idea is not for us to judge, but one should hope this will be tested by independent media later.
In terms of specs, the M2A features a Core i9-12900H or Core i7-12700H Alder Lake CPU with up to 14 cores. More importantly, it comes with discrete GeForce RTX 3080M (Laptop) graphics with unknown TGP specs. There are also RTX 3060M and 3070M options, which are currently the only versions shipping to customers. The RTX 3080M offers 16GB GDDR6 memory and is the fastest SKU in the last-gen Ampere lineup from NVIDIA.
The PC supports DDR5-4800 memory and, by standard, comes with 32GB of capacity and 1TB of storage (note: it’s an M.2 2280 SSD with PCIe Gen3). Both are upgradable by users. The system uses a custom cooling design with four fans and seven heat pipes. There is no liquid metal, phase-changing thermal pads, vapor chamber, or liquid cooling involved.

One of the standout features is the built-in screen. There is no mention if the screen has touch input, so it would serve more as an information display than a control center. It should show the CPU and GPU specs in real-time, including frequencies, power, and temperatures, if the official renders are to be believed.
As it stands now, the company is running a promotion with a 35% off coupon. These promotions are, of course, completely irrational and just a method of attracting customers. Similarly spec’ed PCs, even from the same company, are already offered at much lower prices.
