AYANEO Starship dock features Radeon GPU

AYANEO is introducing its ‘Remake’ series of products today, featuring design aesthetics from retro devices and themes from classic 80s sci-fi anime series. The AG01 is an external graphics card powered by the AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT GPU.

The GPU offers RDNA3 architecture with 32 Compute Units (2048 cores), combined with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. AYANEO confirms that the TGP will go up to 120W, ensuring there is no issue with power limitation. Although this is not the highest-end GPU in the RDNA3 lineup, as the more powerful RX 7900M is currently exclusive to one Dell laptop. It does not appear that we will ever see RX7900M in any GPU solution.

The Starship GPU dock is not just an external GPU solution but also an SSD enclosure with easy, tool-free disassembly, a wired network adapter (speed not specified), and monitor expansion through two additional DisplayPort 2.0 ports and two HDMI 2.1 ports.

The device can be connected either through the OCuLink cable or USB4, which is compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 protocols. This versatility allows the device to support the two most popular eGPU connection standards.

The company has yet to confirm the pricing and release date for the AG01 GPU Dock.
