NVIDIA has plans for AI PCs next year
In an interview with Bloomberg, Dell and NVIDIA CEOs hint there is something in the works for next-gen PCs from NVIDIA.

Last year, Reuters revealed that NVIDIA is working on an ARM-based processor (CPU) that would run Microsoft Windows on ARM. That report lacked further details and did not mention when such a product could be released. Earlier, there were rumors that NVIDIA was working with MediaTek on the next-gen flagship mobile SoC that could integrate NVIDIA GPUs. NVIDIA confirmed a partnership, but instead of a mobile SoC, the collaboration focuses on Dimensity Auto systems featuring NVIDIA RTX GPUs for auto cockpits.
More recently, there was a rumor that NVIDIA is also working with MediaTek on a gaming handheld SoC that would use their GPUs and presumably combine MediaTek CPUs for a gaming device. However, it was not stated whether this would be a Windows device.
It appears that NVIDIA does indeed have plans to enter the new market of AI PCs, at least that’s what the following conversation during an interview suggests:
Ed Ludlow (Bloomberg) : Jensen where is NVIDIA’s place in the AI PC? I know as as gaming, again I grew up with the gaming side of NVIDIA, do you have a place in AI PC market?
Michael Dell (Dell) : Come back next year.
Jensen Huang (NVIDIA): Exactly.
Jensen later mentioned that their GPUs use the same Tensor cores as their data center-centric AI accelerators. Furthermore, NVIDIA GPUs are used in Dell PCs to offer enhanced AI acceleration for personal and commercial use, indicating that NVIDIA hardware is already present in AI PCs.
A Bloomberg reporter noted that NVIDIA has already been combining CPUs and GPUs on a single board (Super Chip) for its data centers and asked whether AI PCs would also focus on this combination. Jensen diplomatically responded that NVIDIA supports all architectures and CPUs, including x86 and ARM, but his answer did not specifically address personal computing.
