GALAX launches GeForce RTX 4070 (Ti) SUPER Classic GPUs with blower style cooler

RTX 4070 SUPER and RTX 4070 Ti SUPER in a Classic form

GALAX is launching new blower-style GPUs.

Who says blower-style GPUs are a thing of the past? Chinese GALAX is releasing not one but two models based on the same single-fan design with a blower-style cooler. Unlike the RTX 4060 Ti , which came out last year, these cards are a proper dual-slot design, similar to gaming GPUs from a decade ago.

GALAX is updating its portfolio with the new RTX 4070 SUPER and RTX 4070 Ti SUPER. As mentioned, physically both cards are identical, featuring a dual-slot design, the same bracket with massive air outtake, and four display connectors (3x DP + 1x HDMI). The heatsink is at least partially exposed, so it is not a fully enclosed design like the older models or the 4060 Ti version. Some air will actually be injected into the chassis.

The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER comes with 8,448 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR6X memory. The RTX 4070 SUPER variant has 7,168 CUDA cores and 12GB of memory. Since both models are SUPER versions, they come equipped with a 12VHPWR connector, which is positioned at the rear, a typical design for GPUs used in cluster configurations.

Here’s how the specs look like compared to the previously released RTX 4060 Ti model:

Both cards measure 28 cm and feature a dual-slot design. The RTX 4070 SUPER has a 220W TDP, while the Ti model boasts a 285W TDP out of the box. It’s worth noting that neither of these GPUs is overclocked; both ship with NVIDIA reference specifications.

GALAX did not confirm pricing or release date for the new CLASSIC models.
