AMD Navi 44 GPU now in ROCm files
No sign of any other RDNA4 GPU.

According to the rumors from Kepler, AMD AMD has scrapped plans for high-end RDNA4 GPUs. Instead, the focus appears to be on two discrete GPUs: Navi 48 and Navi 44, aimed at the mainstream market.
Navi 48 has already made its presence known in AMD Linux patches, reportedly featuring half the GPU cores of Navi 44. Speculation points to Navi 44 potentially powering next-gen Radeon GPUs like the RX 8700/8800 series, pending performance evaluation. These rumors have not yet been confirmed, however the fact that such a GPU is in the development actually has.
AMD has confirmed that the GFX1200 ID corresponds to Navi 44 , while GFX1201 is associated with Navi 48 . These two RDNA4 GPUs are the only ones listed in ROCm updates, following the recent Phoenix (Ryzen 7000/8000) RDNA3 iGPU release.

While AMD’s RDNA4 GPUs haven’t received an official launch date yet, speculations suggest that the company might unveil them later this year. Rumors indicate that these GPUs will utilize GDDR6 memory, contrasting with the anticipated upgrade to the newer GDDR7 standard for NVIDIA’s competing RTX 50 series. It is also said that AMD’s RDNA4 focus is on ray tracing acceleration. These capabilities would also be used by the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro SoC.
