MSI preps twelve Z890 and B860 motherboards
MSI LGA-1851 motherboards have gone through certification.

Although Arrow Lake-S is set to launch in the fourth quarter, companies like MSI, who have been working on their new motherboard series, already know what they have in store. It seems that so do we. The initial lineup has been leaked through a certification report showing that MSI has at least eight Z890 motherboards and four B860 motherboards in the works.
MSI Z890 lineup
The lineup, as always, starts with the premium MEG Godlike and Ace motherboards, but there is also a return of Unify-X, a premium overclocking board that was not present in the Z790 series. As expected, there will also be an MPG EDGE and Carbon launch, the former being a Mini-ITX design. At this moment, there is only information about two entry-level boards: the MAG Tomahawk and PRO series, which typically occupy the lower segment in terms of features.

MSI B860 lineup
The MSI B860 motherboards currently list four boards, two MPG and two MAG models. There is a Mini-ITX and a Micro-ATX board here – interestingly, the latter is not listed in the Z890 lineup.

Intel announced that the Arrow Lake series will be released in the fourth quarter. The company did not clarify whether that applies to the mobile or desktop series (or both). However, the LGA-1851 socket was supposed to launch last year with the Meteor Lake-S, which was canceled. It’s safe to assume that these designs have been in the works for a while.
