ADATA to unveil new XPG NIA gaming handheld, AI laptop with 24TB storage and 96GB RAM, and new LPCAMM2 memory

ADATA at Computex to showcase its gaming handheld

The company makes several pre-Computex announcements.

ADATA will showcase a range of interesting products, from laptops, memory, and storage solutions to gaming peripherals like a gaming headset. However, these may not be as exciting as the newly announced XPG NIA gaming handheld and the high-spec laptop.

Starting with the laptop, the XENIA 15G is not actually a new product. It is powered by the Intel 14th Gen Core series (14700HX), a desktop/mobile class CPU that supports plenty of PCIe lanes. Laptops equipped with these CPUs usually have two to three M.2 slots, and the XENIA 15G has three. The company is already advertising that this laptop supports up to 3x 8TB storage.

At Computex, ADATA will showcase a preconfigured XENIA 15G laptop featuring a total of 24TB of storage combined with 96GB of DDR5 memory. The system is supposedly designed for AI workloads, which may require lots of memory depending on the LLM (Large Language Model) or generative AI models.

Hidden in the press release is information about a new gaming handheld called XPG NIA. The company will showcase this product at its Computex 2024 event, though no image or further details were provided in the press release. Given what competitors like Antec are doing , it is very likely that we will see an OEM-branded product, something that might already exist with a different logo.

ADATA also announced that the company will showcase its LPCAMM2 memory . The exact specifications are not confirmed, but this indicates that another brand will start making its own modules and possibly use them in their products in the future. The press release mentions applications for ‘AI PC,’ high-performance gaming workstations, and data centers. The company confirms that their memory will comply with the LPDDR5X-7500 standard and will be offered in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacities.
