God of War: Ragnarök coming to PCs with latest upscaling tech support and PSN account requirement

During the latest State of Play conference, Sony confirmed that God of War: Ragnarok will be released on PCs on September 19. This is the second game in the franchise to be released on PCs.
The PC port has been developed by Jetpack Interactive, the same team responsible for the PC port of the 2018 God of War. The PC version supports 4K resolution, ultrawide screens up to 21:9, and even super ultrawide 32:9 aspect ratios. It also includes all modern upscaling technologies, and here the game surely does not dissapoint.

God of War: Ragnarok is the first game to officially support FSR 3.1, AMD’s latest upscaling technology featuring an advanced upscaling algorithm and frame generation decoupling. This allows developers to offer frame generation separately, which can be combined with DLSS 3.7 or XeSS 1.2, making it unnecessary to use FSR exclusively.

The PC release will come with the God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla DLC and New Game+ mode, which were initially released for consoles post-launch. Unfortunately, Sony has confirmed that God of War: Ragnarok will require a Sony PlayStation Network account to play. This requirement will prevent many gamers from enjoying the game, which is disappointing for a single-player title.
