ASUS ROG Ally X leaks out
People currently in Taiwan, including thousands of Computex attendees, may now preorder ASUS’s yet-to-be-released ROG Ally X console. This new handheld has surprisingly been listed for preorder prematurely on Momoshop, which offers official ASUS ROG products. The first confirmed detail is the model name of the ROG Ally X, which is RC72LA.

- RC72LA 🆕 – ROG Ally X 2024 – Ryzen Z1 Extreme
The official specs confirm the handheld sports 12GB*2 LPDDR5 memory, but we already know its LPDDR5X-7500 specs. There are no changes to the Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU, and there is no sign of the non-Extreme variant. The storage has been upgraded to a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD by default, and the handheld will now feature an 80 Wh battery, twice the capacity of the older model.
As previously leaked, the new handheld does not have an XG Mobile port for ASUS’s proprietary external GPUs. Instead, gamers will gain access to USB4 with Thunderbolt 4, enabling a lot more options.

According to the listing, the handheld costs 25,999 TWD, which is exactly 800 USD. The older 2023 model is now listed at 19,999 TWD, converting to around 615 USD. Thus, it appears that the 799 USD MSRP may now be confirmed.
