ASUS rolls out GeForce RTX 40 PRIME series meeting NVIDIA SFF-Ready guidelines

ASUS RTX 40 PRIME for SFF enthusiasts

ASUS introduces new series.

Today, NVIDIA is unveiling its new SFF Ready program, which introduces new specifications for board partners who wish to market their designs as SFF-friendly. Small Form Factor systems use all available space to cram as much hardware as possible, so a modern GPU may end up taking a lot of space. NVIDIA has set new guidelines which the new ASUS PRIME GPU series follows.

All PRIME RTX 40 GPUs will be 50mm thick and 269mm long. These cards will have three fans and will feature a brand-new cooler design not used by any other GPU series before. ASUS will launch three NVIDIA GPUs under the PRIME series: RTX 4060 Ti, RTX 4070, and RTX 4070 SUPER.

According to OC3D, the new cards are designed to be wallet-friendly and feature effective cooling solutions. As we can see, there is no RGB lighting on these cards, and they appear to be using the 12VHPWR power connector. Whatever the card’s thickness and width end up being in the specs, one should still account for the power cable, which, in the case of a 16-pin cable, needs around 30mm of space for safe bending.

We hear that other board partners have plans to introduce their brand-new SFF cards at Computex as well, so stay tuned as we will be covering them all.
