NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 “Blackwell” GPUs to feature similar GPC count to “Lovelace”

Leaker reveals NVIDIA RTX 50 “Blackwell” details in response to “boring Jensen presentation”

NVIDIA GB20X series to feature similar GPC counts.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 was a no-show at Computex 2025, although this gaming architecture is expected to hit the market this year. Kopite7kimi, one of the most respected leakers regarding NVIDIA hardware, has shared more details on the GB20X family of GPUs.

Today, NVIDIA confirmed Kopite’s rumor about Vera Rubin being chosen as the patron for the next-gen data centers. NVIDIA has yet to deploy the predecessor “Blackwell” for AI accelerated servers, but the company is believed to be working on gaming variants simultaneously.

According to the latest leak, most GB20X GPUs will have the same GPU configuration as the existing AD10X (Ada Lovelace) GPUs. The leak specifically addresses GPC (Graphics Processing Clusters) without a clear statement on SMs (Streaming Multiprocessors) or CUDA Cores.

If this information is accurate, the GB203 is now expected to feature fewer cores than before (84 instead of 96 SMs). Similarly, the GB205 GPU, which is a successor to the AD104, should feature 60 SMs, and the GB202 may offer 36. The only GPU that doesn’t have a similar GPC count is the GB207.

It is further claimed that only the GB202 and GB203 GPUs will be mentioned in the short term, as the GB205, GB206, and GB207 are still in development. In other words, one should look forward to RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 series being announced this year with other SKUs likely launching next year.
