Seasonic to launch PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition power supply

Seasonic and Noctua team up for flagship PSU design

Available in Q4.

Spotted on the Computex 2024 show floor just before the event officially kicks off is Seasonic’s new power supply. Apparently, the company is set to launch a new power supply featuring an unusual brown color scheme. This design is, of course, a hallmark of Noctua-branded products. Both companies have worked together to introduce the PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition PSU.

The original PRIME 1600W power supply comes equipped with a 135mm fan, but the Noctua version uses a smaller NF-A12x25 fan, which is known for its high quality and low noise levels. The power supply also has an optimized fan grill, and it should run 8 to 10 dB(A) quieter than the original edition of the supply.

The PSU features semi-passive operation, which means the fan stays off until your system hits 50% load or the ambient temperature reaches 25°C. This ensures virtually noise-free operation under light loads, with the fan only kicking in gently as the demands on your system increase.

The power supply meets ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards and comes with a 12V-2×6 connector for high-end graphics cards. Plus, the fully modular design with Noctua-themed cables keeps your build neat and tidy. With 94% efficiency at 50% load, this power supply is both 80 PLUS Titanium and Cybernetics ETA Titanium certified, making it one of the most efficient options on the market. The PSU is expected to hit the shelves in Q4 2024.
