Intel Core Ultra 200K in early Q4
Board partners confirm to Wccftech that Arrow Lake-S will be available in October.
If you expected Intel to provide a proper update on Arrow Lake architecture during the Computex keynote, you were probably disappointed. Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger only mentioned that the architecture will be released by the end of this year, without going into further details.
However, there was more happening behind the scenes. A real product was shown on the show floor: the Z890 motherboards. Interestingly, Intel has not allowed any company to officially call them the Z890 series yet, but Biostar seems to have broken that embargo:

Board partners were indeed eager to showcase the next-generation motherboard with the LGA-1851 socket. This socket was intended to debut alongside Meteor Lake-S processors, which were never released in a consumer form. The platform was expected to launch a few months ago, according to rumors, before Intel canceled the series. The next in line is the Arrow Lake-S series, also known as Core Ultra 200(K), expected to launch this year.
Intel Arrow Lake Desktop CPUs are expected to hit retail shelves in October followed by a proper unveiling at the next ON event which is planned for September. Intel’s CEO, Pat Gelsinger, confirmed today that Arrow Lake CPUs will first come to the desktop platform followed by laptop chips later.

According to an undisclosed number of company representatives, Intel will likely announce the new Core 200K series during its Innovation event in September. The series aims to launch in October, so the product showcase will occur in Q3, with the actual launch in early Q4. This follows Intel’s pattern of announcing new Core series at each Innovation event.
Innovation Event & Intel Core launches/announcements
- Innovation 2021: Intel 12th Gen Core Desktop “Alder Lake”
- Innovation 2022: Intel 13th Gen Core Desktop “Raptor Lake”
- Innovation 2023 : Intel Core Ultra 100 “Meteor Lake”
- Innovation 2024 🆕 : Intel Core Ultra 200 “Arrow Lake”
During the keynote, Pat Gelsinger revealed that Panther Lake is now aiming for a 2025 launch, but this was not specifically about the desktop platform. Intel has clearly lost an opportunity to at least tease their next-generation desktop CPU series, with the spotlight now on Ryzen 9000 series from AMD. The competitor already announced that the new Zen5-powered CPUs will launch in July, meaning that they will go unchallenged for at least 3 months.
