PowerColor teases Radeon RX 6800XT/6900XT Liquid Devil

PowerColor unveils Radeon RX 6000 custom card with a water block

The manufacturer today confirmed it will release an RX 6000 Liquid Devil series featuring a preinstalled water block designed by EK.

The Liquid Devil series is PowerColor’s full-custom design, featuring upgraded coolers and PCBs. The Red Devil RX 6900 XT and RX 6800 XT cards were no exception and it seems that the tech community, including reviewers and the lucky few customers, have positively responded to the new series.

Both Radeon RX 6900 XT and RX 6800 XT are based on AMD’s latest Navi 21 GPU offering up to 5120 Stream Processors. These SKUs are equipped with 16GB of GDDR6 memory and well as 128MB of Infinity Cache. Although RX 6900 XT and RX 6800 XT share the same TDP specifications of 300W, most custom designs based on the higher-end model feature three 8-pin power connectors, whereas the RX 6800 XT designs are usually kept with two. The water block which supports both designs is likely to take that into account.

It is also worth noting that AlphaCool already revealed a custom water block designed specifically for the Red Devil cards. It is unclear why PowerColor opted for EK water blocks instead, but manufacturers have a long-standing partnership that already resulted in RX 5000 Liquid Devil series designs.
