XFX is teasing replaceable fans for its Radeon GPUs

Phoenix Nirvana coming to global market?

The official XFX channel is teasing a new swappable fan design. This feature was previously introduced in the company’s Phoenix Nirvana series, released in China a few weeks ago. The teaser suggests that this series will soon be available globally.

So far, XFX has launched RX 7900 XTX, 7900 GRE, and 7800 XT models in this series. All of these cards share the same cooler design and support swappable fans. Notably, there is also a white edition, allowing users to replace the fans with a different color if desired.

However, since the launch in China, XFX has not provided a way to purchase the fans separately. Therefore, it is unclear what the benefit to end users is at this point. The only potential advantage might be the ability to request a replacement fan from XFX without needing to ship the entire card back.
