MSI teams up with Asetek for GeForce RTX 30 Sea Hawk series
MSI unveiled its liquid-cooled GeForce RTX 30 graphics card series.
The Sea Hawk series was designed in collaboration with Asetek, who developed a custom cooling solution for these MSI’s RTX 30 series. MSI did not name the GPU that this model will be used, but judging from the backplate, we can assume the cards featuring this design will be NVIDIA GA102 based (RTX 3090 and RTX 3080).
The cooling solution features a copper plate that covers the whole GPU area and the memory modules. The VRM cooling is handled by a separate fan that is installed on the graphics card. Thus, the Sea Hawk series is a hybrid design combining two cooling technologies, but not necessarily separately. MSI Sea Hawk pump is attached with high-quality braided tubing to a 240mm radiator featuring Torx 4.0 fans.
MSI has not disclosed the pricing nor when the first Sea Hawk graphics cards will become available.
