Intel announces NUC 11 series with Tiger Lake CPUs

Intel has released more Tigers and Panthers into the wild.

Today Intel unveiled its NUC 11 series featuring four sub-series aiming at different markets:

• Intel NUC 11 Performance Panther Canyon – gaming high-end NUC
• Intel NUC 11 Enthusiast Phantom Canyon – desktop replacement
• Intel NUC 11 Pro Tiger Canyon – embedded systems
• Intel NUC 11 Compute Element – a NUC 11 board with blower-type cooler for further integrations

The new series is based on the 10nm Tiger Lake-U series ranging from Core i3-1115G4 (2 cores at 4.1 GHz and 48 Xe-LP EU cores at 1.25 GHz) to Core i7-1165G7 (4 cores at 4.7 GHz and 96 Xe-LP GPU cores at 1.3 GHz).

The NUC 11 Pro series are available in three chassis designs, either with more I/O ports or with additional space for a 2.5-inch drive. They feature Thunderbolt 4 connectors which can transmit DisplayPort signal up to 7680×4320 (8K) resolution at 60 Hz.

The flagship model called Intel® NUC 11 Extreme Mini PC (Panther Cayon NUC11PHBi7) has a TDP of 150W, but only because it comes with a discrete RTX 2060 graphics solution, as well as Optane Mem H10 memory and 16GB RAM by default.

Intel has not confirmed the pricing of the NUC 11 series yet.
