Radeon RX 7800XT again at $469
A worthy challenger?
The price cut for the Radeon RX 7800 XT has returned, but this time for a different model. The RX 7800 XT, which officially still costs $499 according to AMD, is now available at $479 after a recent price change for the ASRock Challenger through Newegg. The retailer is also offering a $10 off coupon code, which effectively brings the price down to $469 , a price not seen since April.
The RX 7800 XT is following other Radeon RX 7000 models, which were discounted to record low prices. ASRock, in particular, is at the forefront of Radeon discounts. At the time of writing, the company had nearly all RDNA3 desktop GPUs at the lowest prices (excluding RX 7600 models).

ASRock’s Challenger model is a dual-fan design in a 2.5-slot size. The card is overclocked out of the box to 2169/2475 MHz (game/boost), with the memory clock kept at the reference speed of 19.5 Gbps. Similar to the Radeon RX 7900 GRE, this card ships with 16GB GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit bus and requires at least 263 watts of power to work efficiently.
The RX 7800 XT offers the full Navi 32 GPU configuration with 3840 Stream Processors, and there is currently no mobile version for this GPU. AMD also offers its RX 7700 XT with cut-down specs to 3456 cores and 12GB VRAM. This model can also be found for less than the official MSRP ($419). ASRock is offering its Challenger at $379.99, creating a $110 gap between both Navi 32 cards at the moment.
