Today, June 18, NVIDIA reached a market value of $3.336 trillion, making it the most valuable company in the world. Despite a recent increase in Microsoft’s and Apple’s stock prices, NVIDIA’s shares rose by 3.57% today at the time of writing, while other shares dipped slightly.
NVIDIA has climbed rapidly in market value, crossing the $1 trillion mark last year and reaching $3.28 trillion today. Earlier this month, NVIDIA announced a 10-for-1 stock split, making its shares more accessible to smaller investors. This move likely contributed to NVIDIA’s recent surge, which saw a total of 170% increase this year alone.

NVIDIA’s rise has been fueled by strong demand for its AI accelerators. Over the past decade, the company has gone through several stock surges due to the demand for cryptomining equipment and a significant increase in gaming GPU sales during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Looking ahead, NVIDIA is set to launch its Blackwell GPU architecture for data centers and is expected to introduce the gaming-focused RTX 50 series by the end of the year.
