Colorful B760M-PLUS MAX
A special motherboard for Internet Cafes.

What may not be commonly known is that Colorful has a large lineup of Intel motherboards. While the company has not yet launched any AMD-based motherboards, there are plenty of options featuring CVN, Meow, BattleAx, and iCafe designs available. The latter is a special series from Colorful dedicated to Internet Cafes, which are very popular in China.
Apparently, the company has found a niche that was not yet fulfilled: an entry-level board equipped with powerful networking. Featuring Intel’s (still) latest B760 chipset, the new Micro-ATX board is said to be the first to feature 10G networking through SFP+ connector. In fact, it supports not just 10G, but also 2.5G Ethernet.
The board is called iCafe B760M-PLUS MAX D5 V20, and it uses a 14-phase DrMOS (65A) power design. The company says that it easily supports Core i7 processors and uses server-grade premium materials. The PCB has a 6-layer low-resistance design, and the VRM is fully covered. The board uses 6 mm heat pipes for cooling.

Clearly, this is not a board for overclocking but for prolonged gaming sessions, hence the increased durability. Whether the 10G network is actually useful for Internet Cafes is something we can’t be sure about. However, such cafes often use local game installation caches (for instance for Steam), and the ability to quickly download files from a local server directly to fast NVMe storage could be important to some gamers. Technically, that’s still just 1.25 GB/s maximum theoretical speed, so much slower than modern SSDs.
The company did not confirm when it will be available or how much it will cost, but it is advertised as ‘launched’.
