KINGPIN to collaborate with PNY on future GeForce RTX 50 cards

Goodbye EVGA, Hello PNY.

Vince “Kingpin” Lucido is an extreme overclocker who has been working with EVGA for many years. The company launched many graphics cards under the Kingpin series, which were designed and fine-tuned by Vince down to the smallest details. However, EVGA announced its departure from the VGA business shortly before the GeForce RTX 30 series launched. As a result, Kingpin has been exploring collaborations with other companies such as MSI, but he says that company has a different approach to high-end GPUs and overclocking.

Gamers Nexus recently had the chance to meet Vince during their visit to Taipei for Computex. During the interview, Vince revealed that he is now working with a new company for GPU designs: PNY. Vince had a GPU on a test bench while testing the software, possibly in preparation for next-gen GPUs. There is no doubt that this is just the very beginning of this collaboration.

Right now, I’m testing the software and It’s actually pretty nice, a lot like our old PX1. Just trying to figure out all the details of the software, all the lighting and the fans and I actually got a XOC BIOS for it yesterday. […]

[PNY] are known for their professional cards and the daily cards but there’s a huge hole in the enthusiast market from EVGA being gone, and it doesn’t seem like other vendors re to keen to fill it.

It is expected that the first PNY KINGPIN graphics card will launch with the RTX 50 series. In fact, Kingpin mentioned that a new card might be coming this year, although he did not provide further details. One thing is clear: there won’t be a white version, as Kingpin is seemingly sticking to his iconic black designs.

We look forward to what Vince is preparing for the next-gen series. It will definitely be interesting to see how far future GeForce cards can be pushed.
