First Intel Core Ultra 200 CPUs launching September-October

Benchlife is reporting on possible launch dates for the Intel Core 200 Ultra series. Specifically, their information narrows down the launch timeline for Lunar Lake, the first product featuring entirely new CPU and GPU architectures.
According to the media, the Intel Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” is expected to launch between September 17 and 24. Benchlife is not providing an exact date, but this suggests the first CPU will drop between weeks 38 and 39. This is not the only information shared, as the media claims that the Arrow Lake-S platform will launch a month later .
The upcoming CPU launch schedule would look like this.
Upcoming PC platforms:
- 🔴July 15? 2024 : AMD Ryzen AI 300 “Strix Point” CPUs
- 🔴July 31? 2024 : AMD Ryzen 9000 “Granite Ridge” CPUs
- 🔵September (17-24) 2024 : Intel Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” CPUs
- 🔴Q3 2024 : AMD X870 & B850 motherboards
- 🔵October 2024 : Intel Core Ultra 200K “Arrow Lake-S” CPUs & Intel Z890 motherboards
- 🔵 January 2025 : Intel Core Ultra 200 “Arrow Lake-S” CPUs & Intel B860/H810 motherboards
Benchlife further adds that the Intel Lunar Lake launch would happen just before the Intel Vision 2024 event. This event has been when Intel announces its desktop platforms, so this year’s event should be no exception. The products are expected to hit the market a month later. Moreover, this is when the first LGA-1851 platforms equipped with Z890 chipsets are set to launch as well.
Although this was mentioned before, Benchlife also corroborates that Intel B860 and H810 motherboards are expected at CES 2025. This launch would coincide with Intel’s release of its Arrow Lake-S 65W and 35W desktop CPUs also known as the Core non-K series
Overall, it seems we have a packed schedule for this year, and there is a chance NVIDIA will introduce their RTX 50 series by the end of the year. The first quarter of 2025 also looks to be packed with hardware launches.
